Lee Westwood is continuing his impressive build up to the US Masters and looks like being a big contender for major honours again this year.
When you play on the final day of the WGC-Accenture in Tucson then you have had a very good week and although it was Lee’s fate to fall in the semi-finals four wins out of six is not bad going by anybody’s standards.
Charl Schwartzel and Louis Oosthuizen also enjoyed some success in the desert and will be continuing their preparation for the season’s first major next month alongside Lee in West Palm Beach this week.
You can expect a good showing from all of our representatives there because the boys all enjoy tough courses and Jack Nicklaus’s Bear Trap is one of the toughest stretches of golfing terrain anywhere. You can also expect massive crowds because a certain former world number one is also teeing up.
Elsewhere, our list of champions this season was extended when India’s Anirban Lahiri triumphed in front of his home town fans in New Delhi at the weekend. Anirban collected the SAIL-SBI Open at the first extra hole of a two-man play-off.
